Crooks Hollow is located on the escarpment in Dundas near Hamilton. This location is filled with multiple locations to shoot. The main area is the ruins of an old mill. Beautiful old stone structure. Area is behind a fence where trespassing is prohibited. State of structure is deemed unsound and potentially dangerous. Steep cliff over river as well as questionable safety within the ruins. Structure is next to road and visible from both the road and a house across the street. Near the ruin is a small damn and a long bridge covering the river. Shooting on the bridge and surrounding fields work well at sunset as west facing view provides great lighting. Adjacent to the ruins is a forested area with walking trails. Next to the forested area is a moderate sized farmers field which is northwest facing. No convenient parking in location.
